It took me a week to write this review because I was left speechless after reading Ruthless Traitor。 I still don't know what to say。。。that ending。。it just wrecked me。 I mean I'm still not over what happend。 I love all the Vandals books but this one took the cake。 I'm really not sure what to do with myself until I'll get the next book！ For anyone not sure if they should start the series: absolutely - do not wait another minute！ It took me a week to write this review because I was left speechless after reading Ruthless Traitor。 I still don't know what to say。。。that ending。。it just wrecked me。 I mean I'm still not over what happend。 I love all the Vandals books but this one took the cake。 I'm really not sure what to do with myself until I'll get the next book！ For anyone not sure if they should start the series: absolutely - do not wait another minute！ 。。。more

6/5⭐ Extra Star Read This series gets better and better。 I seriously didn't know it could get better because it was already so great。 But Ruthless Traitor astounded me with how good it was。 I was glued to every word。 This has got to be favorite read of the year。In this book we get to explore having Raptor back。 Exploring the dynamic between the two characters as well as at what it means for the relationships was done so well。We we also get to focus more on Liam who is one of the lesser-known guy 6/5⭐ Extra Star Read This series gets better and better。 I seriously didn't know it could get better because it was already so great。 But Ruthless Traitor astounded me with how good it was。 I was glued to every word。 This has got to be favorite read of the year。In this book we get to explore having Raptor back。 Exploring the dynamic between the two characters as well as at what it means for the relationships was done so well。We we also get to focus more on Liam who is one of the lesser-known guys in the the series so far。 And I absolutely loved it。 I loved where the story went with the two characters they were forced to spend a lot of time together and Liams character is so interesting。 And brings a whole new dynamic to the table。 I absolutely loved every scene with Em and Liam。 They are well matched。I really can't recommend this series enough you know it starts out where we don't know why the Vandals have kidnapped this dancer who's been abused other than that they are helping her。 And we are now at a place where we know their motivations。 Last book we got a lot of both telling and moving flashbacks and in this book we continue to。 Heather Long does a great job of revealing answers and satisfying readers while also creating new questions and story to explore。 She balances it out so well。This book also really sees our main character not just figuring things out with raptor but figuring things out in general。 They are all trying to navigate their way through the the situation the feelings & what it means going forward。 And going forward we have a cliffhanger which will bring an interesting start to the next book & I'm so excited for more can't & can't recommend this series enough。 。。。more

My heart！！！Heather Long is at it again with tearing at my heart strings。 Liam is my new favorite hands down。 Sorry Vaughn。 I absolutely adore Liam。 He is no longer the second favorite。 I cannot wait for Dirty Devil。 The anticipation may kill me。

Okay firstly … what was that ending ？ Like I have no words。 Why ？ Why break our hearts like that 😭This series is quickly becoming one of my favourites。 I really struggle to pick a favourite Vandal … I think it’s still Jasper by a 🤏… but only just。 Kellan and Vaughan are also right up there ！ We see a few side characters in this book that I also want to know more about。 And Milo… I want more Milo。We get a lot more back story in the book and we start to see what makes our Vandals tick。Emersyn stil Okay firstly … what was that ending ？ Like I have no words。 Why ？ Why break our hearts like that 😭This series is quickly becoming one of my favourites。 I really struggle to pick a favourite Vandal … I think it’s still Jasper by a 🤏… but only just。 Kellan and Vaughan are also right up there ！ We see a few side characters in this book that I also want to know more about。 And Milo… I want more Milo。We get a lot more back story in the book and we start to see what makes our Vandals tick。Emersyn still breaks my heart。 But I love how fiercely she loves and how she is still prepared for stand up for what she wants。Overall this book was perfection。 It was dark in places but without the gore - and at this point I’m a little over dark “romances” that resemble slasher films。 This book does it well， it’s not glossed over， but at the same point it doesn’t have every single detail。 It drives the story but it’s not for shock value。 The plot was solid and we learn a lot about the Vandals world。 Though that cliffhanger is still destroying me…。 Anyway I for one cannot wait for the next book in this series。 。。。more

This is a hard one to rate because I absolutely love all of the characters and the relationship they are each building with Emersyn， and Emersyn is such a strong character， even with all of the abuse she has obviously suffered she has perservered and come out stronger。 But there were some parts that I didn't like。Firstly， I just hate flashbacks in my stories， it's my least favourite literary device， and in this case， every time the story started to get going， you were taken back to the past and This is a hard one to rate because I absolutely love all of the characters and the relationship they are each building with Emersyn， and Emersyn is such a strong character， even with all of the abuse she has obviously suffered she has perservered and come out stronger。 But there were some parts that I didn't like。Firstly， I just hate flashbacks in my stories， it's my least favourite literary device， and in this case， every time the story started to get going， you were taken back to the past and it was a real drag on the story for me。 The flashbacks gave us a glimpse of the boys （and Milo） but for me this didn't really help me feel like I was coming to know the boys better because of the way they were spaced between current events， and it made the current timeline really choppy and hard to follow。I also have a hard time differentiating between Vaughn and Kellan's characters。 They just aren't fleshed out as characters enough， I want to know what makes them tick and why they are who they are。 I actually feel like that with a lot of the boys。A number of the guys （Jasper， Vaughn， Kellan， Freddy） didn't really have any personal， one on one time with Emersyn in this story， apart from having sex， which isn't the only part of character relationship development。 I would like to see the boys more vulnerable and understand them on a deeper level。 I think the flashbacks were meant to do that but they didn't for me。However， I absolutely love Heather's stories， and as I said I still give the book 4 stars because I can't wait to see what happens and she said this would be a long haul。 。。。more

3，5-4 ishI have been anticipating this release since the second book， i could not think of anything else than this book today。 I am in love with this series， def one of my fave series！ I did tho have a hard time that every other chapter was told in the past and the next chapter you where back to the present。 I loved to read from all of their PoV which is really nice to look into their minds。 But i felt ex when i read the story in the past， i wanted more but it got switched back to the present da 3，5-4 ishI have been anticipating this release since the second book， i could not think of anything else than this book today。 I am in love with this series， def one of my fave series！ I did tho have a hard time that every other chapter was told in the past and the next chapter you where back to the present。 I loved to read from all of their PoV which is really nice to look into their minds。 But i felt ex when i read the story in the past， i wanted more but it got switched back to the present day and reverse when i read a chapter from the present i wanted to continuing to read more from that scene and maybe the person。 This book really gives you a really big peek into all of their past， their childhood， emotions and just everything。 I really like the heroin Emersyn， she is not that kick ass badass， but she has inner strength and is so damn strong。 After everything she has gone thru and she still is。 You really see her grow， from book 1 and until now。 We got to know much more about Milo or should i say Raptor， the big brother our heroin Emersyn did not know about。 Liam got on my good side， we really se another side of him and how his life has taken him。 If you did not like him that much in the previous book you will for sure do it in Ruthless Traitor。 I really like Emersyn， Liam， Rome， Jasper， Vaughn， Freddie， Kellan， and Doc aka Mickey´s relationship， they still have a long way to go until they are all in this 1000% like official。 Ehhh i was not ready for that ending？！ My heart just ran away， Emersyn making a decision to protect those she loves running into danger。 My poor heart， i just hope the guys don´t believe her or think that she willingly went back to her home。。。 :（（（ It was a stupid thing to do， but i also understand that she wanna protect them。 There is so much lies and secrets in the air， i have so much more questions and i don´t know how i will survive until the next book！！！ 。。。more

Another amazing book by Heather Long。 After the way Vicious Rebel ended I had so many questions of how Emersyn would reaction， the guys reasons， how they were going to overcome it。 In Ruthless Traitor we can some answers but also so many more puzzle pieces that have me wanting to reread the three books over to try and fit them together lol。 Seeing the guys reactions and emotions to the fall out of book 2’s cliffhanger I actually love this book the most so far。 The depth of their feelings for Eme Another amazing book by Heather Long。 After the way Vicious Rebel ended I had so many questions of how Emersyn would reaction， the guys reasons， how they were going to overcome it。 In Ruthless Traitor we can some answers but also so many more puzzle pieces that have me wanting to reread the three books over to try and fit them together lol。 Seeing the guys reactions and emotions to the fall out of book 2’s cliffhanger I actually love this book the most so far。 The depth of their feelings for Emersyn comes through undeniably and she stops holding herself back as much。 Though Rome is still my fave （with Liam number 2 because hello…。twins！！） This book also made me so suspicious about so many people I feel paranoid lol。 Different clues fit in with past memories （which I loveeeee that we get to see） and I’m dying to see where the book goes next。 Now for the cliffhanger…… I legit got misty eyed at what Emersyn does the last chapter。 My heart broke for her and the guys。 I get why she did it but it didn’t stop me from yelling at my kindle and cursing the world。 All melodrama on my part aside。 Ruthless Traitor was an amazing must read。 5/5 stars。 。。。more

A Whole New Insight into the Vandals…。。t“Maybe we should have eased him into this”。。。。as Jasper Says regarding Milo， the same can be true of the reader， Ruthless Traitor is the third book in the 82nd Street Vandals Series by Heather Long， and WOW！ It starts at that very last scene from Vicious Rebel， with Emersyn learning that she has a “brother”， at least according to all of these guys。 Answers to WHY she was taken？ Maybe， but definitely shows her WHY they may have been looking out for her， IF A Whole New Insight into the Vandals…。。t“Maybe we should have eased him into this”。。。。as Jasper Says regarding Milo， the same can be true of the reader， Ruthless Traitor is the third book in the 82nd Street Vandals Series by Heather Long， and WOW！ It starts at that very last scene from Vicious Rebel， with Emersyn learning that she has a “brother”， at least according to all of these guys。 Answers to WHY she was taken？ Maybe， but definitely shows her WHY they may have been looking out for her， IF she chooses to believe this。 What a book。 So much more insight into the Vandals and who they are is discovered in this book， including their relationships with each other。 Questions are answered about Liam and why he left the Vandals， though not ALL of the answers have been revealed。I absolutely loved watching Emersyn “come out of her shell” even more in this book。 Her developing relationships with the Vandals are more in focus in this book， her touch bases with each of them so she can show them how important they have all become to her， so sweet。 I love when she chastised them about not caring enough for Freddie。 But then there is also her developing relationship with Milo to be addressed。 She’s no longer this “unknown entity” that they have watched from afar， instead， she’s an actual real life person who is not just on stage， in pictures， on news conferences， as she had been most of their lives since she was little。 As the book moves on， I loved how much she came to “care” for Milo and become comfortable enough to continue to combat his demands， but want to protect him from her secrets。 As much as she’s alluded to them in conversations with the guys， she has yet to reveal anything beyond what they discovered from Eric and that she does not want to go home and hates being called Princess。 Its adorable the way she constantly questions them about Milo and they reveal their similarities。 While questions have been answered， there are still mysteries to be revealed about the Vandals。 What they transport？ What’s their purpose as a gang？ The Good they do。 What they stand for？ Their Hard lines？ What they allow？ Little things are developing to give the reader these stories and I cannot wait to learn everything。 Bravo on keeping the mystery alive and the story fresh。My new favorite Vandals after this book are both Milo and Liam。 Hands down。 I can’t wait to see where their stories take us。 Liam， he’s clearly got some things going that Milo has approved and help him maneuver into over the years， but the potential for crossover with Emeryn’s life？ INTERESTING， and kind of scary。 I hope he’s prepared。 Milo。。。the ultimate leader and big brother， when do we think he’s going to learn that he’s no longer “in charge” as much as he used to？ And he BETTER have an HEA one of these days in the future。 Now that ending。 Sigh。 What a heartbreaker。 All the good things and then that ending。 Just give me DD already so it can get better…。。。 。。。more

in fact， we don't even have all the pieces。 But this book is about giving us some important ones， pieces that help us better understand this motley crue。The Vandals world is such a complex tapestry of secrets， lies， half truths， and misdirection- and quite honestly， Heather is a creative genius to create a story so intricate， complicated， and dynamically rich。 And I’m impressed how she keeps up with it all- every detail， every moment big and small are part of a broader narrative， one being told in both the past and the present。 It’s quite a storytelling fete- and one she’s achieving brilliantly。 Even more so， the characters themselves are complicated mosaics， intensely layered individuals whose identities we have to understand in so many parallels。 Not only are we steadily chipping away at who they are in the present， as they expose their vulnerability to one another and their secrets slowly come to the surface， but we’re also trying to separate their vandal persona from their true heart- all while trying to discover who they were in the past， too。 The narrative approach， the past and present ping pong， is a powerful and thoughtful way for us to truly immerse ourselves in each of them。 The past continues to be purposefully enigmatic- an impressionistic dip into the essence of our characters in moments critical to who they are in the present。 Moments that have shaped their loyalty and connection to each other， moments that have added weight to the heavy baggage they all carry， and most important， moments that interconnect them in purpose in ways we don’t yet fully understand， but feel so intensely。 All while we’re trying to make sense of the jaw dropping revelations Emersyn is grappling with as the result of the prodigal return of the near mythical Raptor- as well as her ever changing， deepening relationships with the Vandals crew， something that Raptor’s presence also unsettles。 Even the writing styles have a contrasting flair - the past carries that enigmatic atmospheric paralipsis approach， each a vignette that feels both isolating and focused。 While the present is full of emotive meta-immersions focused on their interconnections， and exploding with emotional drama。 The approach， while brilliant， does cause the present day plot to at times feel like it lacks momentum- we get very little answered， and have a lot more questions- but it does help us more deeply mire ourselves in the psyche of each of these deliciously mysterious， magnetically charismatic characters。 Their story， their actions， the broader puzzle might still be a mystery to us， but the nature of their hearts， and the weight that each of them carry is increasingly less opaque- which further invests us in the glimmers of vulnerability and transparency we see transpiring in the present day as each battle their loyalty to Raptor， to themselves， and to Emersyn。 And even if we’re impatient for the romance， or the secrets， to unfold before us- Heather has warned us to buckle up- this is a long series， and these characters have a lot of suffering to do before they find healing。 And Ruthless Traitor is about digging deep in that suffering- understanding just how deeply they are all wounded， and just how earth shattering it is that they’ve all chosen to deviate from the plan when it comes to Emersyn。I will continue to shout just how novel and unique this story is。 This is the work of an artist-an author who is painting a story with careful and intentional choices， each brushstroke meticulously placed。 So the plot thickens， and thickens some more- and Heather is still priming the canvas in a lot of ways。 We have more questions than answers- even about our characters， even about who the harem will be still， and even still about our beautifully broken heroine。 Just when we think we know her， just when we feel like we’ve finally found the center of her mind， she does something that not only shocks us， but will completely change the direction of this story。 Her journey to power， to healing and freedom has only just begun- and I have a feeling the next few chapters are going to be heartbreakingly challenging for all of these characters。 I’m not sure my heart can take it- but I need answers， and I’m ready to watch these Vandals show us the depths of their fight。 。。。more

This book was everything I needed after the cliffhanger of Vicious Rebel。 I was so excited to see how things played out。 I honestly couldn't put down the book as I just wanted to devour everything Heather had created。 Emeryson and the Vandals have gone through so much; I loved that we got everyone's perspectives and personal stories to today's events。 With the new dynamic shift of Milo being back， it was interesting to see a more protective， caring side with no alternative motives other than sib This book was everything I needed after the cliffhanger of Vicious Rebel。 I was so excited to see how things played out。 I honestly couldn't put down the book as I just wanted to devour everything Heather had created。 Emeryson and the Vandals have gone through so much; I loved that we got everyone's perspectives and personal stories to today's events。 With the new dynamic shift of Milo being back， it was interesting to see a more protective， caring side with no alternative motives other than sibling love for Emeryson， even if it is on a more extreme level。 I have to say Freddie is just the honest to god best character there is ever。 I will keep him in my possession for the foreseeable future just in case anyone gets any ideas。The romantic relationships in this story were so spicy and real Emeryson with Liam， Rome， Jasper， Vaughn Freddie， Kellan and Doc all growing and understanding what they want with Emeryson regardless of who she is。 I think having them all show their broken parts and not just focusing on the good was done in a way that makes the reader want to root for their relationship and become even more invested when things go wrong。 That ending。 I have a count down for February already！ If gang romance， enemies to lovers， alphaholes are your jam， I 100% recommend reading this series。 You will not be disappointed。 。。。more
